Product Details

The programmable AC power supply PRE20 model is available from ActionPower for normal power tests and grid-related tests. They are full 4-quadrant, full regenerative AC power sources designed for common electrical power testing scenarios, such as grid disturbance simulation, programmable output impedance, waveform synthesis, adjustable phase angle, and IEC standard testing software. Additionally, these programmable AC power sources are designed for application fields like PV inverters, power conversion systems (PCS) and on-line UPS, etc.

It is well-known that power can simulate both source and load from the unit under test (UUT) seamlessly to support many different applications. In cases where the UUT generates current, a detection circuit will sense the excess power and feed it back to the grid.

AC Load Advantages and Features:

 

1.Integrated Source and Load, Full Power Quadrants:

The programmable ac source PRE20 series combines bidirectional programmable AC power supply and feedback programmable AC load in one unit, switchable via panel or commands. When operating in load mode, the four-quadrant loading can recover 100% of the current to the grid, achieving feedback efficiency of up to 91%.

 

 

2.RLC Network Simulation:

The high voltage supply PRE20 series integrates up to 12 RLC network models, allowing flexible adjustment of parameters to simulate linear load characteristics. This fully validates the performance of the tested product under different impedances, three-phase balance, and unbalanced load modes, and can also perform anti-islanding protection tests for inverters or converters.

 

 

3.Current and Power Limitation:

When this feature is enabled, if the current or power exceeds the limit, the output voltage will be reduced to ensure the safety of the tested product. When this feature is disabled, the power supply can still output peak values of up to three times the rated current and maintain this state. In conjunction with the effective value overcurrent protection delay setting, the actual surge current value of the product can be obtained and recorded.

 

4.Power Hardware in the Loop (PHIL) Simulation:

The programmable AC current source PRE20 series has extremely high dynamic response and bandwidth, with a small signal bandwidth of 10 kHz, large signal bandwidth of 2000 Hz, and delay of 60 µs. It can amplify and output signals from simulation systems, signal sources, or control board cards to the tested product, realizing Power Hardware in the Loop (PHIL) simulation.

 

5.Internal RL Impedance Adjustment:

The custom power supply PRE20 series integrates internal R and L impedance adjustment functions, associating output voltage and current with R and L parameters to simulate the relevant cable impedance functions in IEC61000-3-2 and 3-3 standards.

The PRE20 series can provide output voltage accuracy of up to 0.01% ± 0.05% F.S. and load adjustment rate accuracy of ± 0.05% F.S.

3.Automatic Three-Phase to Single-Phase Switching:

The programmable AC power supply PRE20 is designed with parallel switches and load switches: the parallel switch is associated with single-phase mode, realizing automatic switching between unidirectional output and three-phase output; the load switch is associated with the OUT function, achieving output and load isolation.

 

4.Multiple Output Modes:

The programmable ac power source PRE20 series supports AC, DC, AC+DC, and DC+AC four output modes, with full power output available in each mode.

 

5.Rich Programming Functions:

The PRE20 series supports various programming functions such as LIST, PULSE, STEP, and Advance; it can realize analog programming of harmonics and interharmonics, and supports programming of 100 sets of custom waveforms.

 

6.Powerful Standard Waveform Library:

The PRE20 series is equipped with IEC61000-4 standard waveform library, which can be called up with one click to meet the requirements of most automated test system integration development. It also includes 30 sets of DST waveforms for one-click injection testing of relevant standards.
